Activities Overview
We were able to achieve some activities under these categories. While some are in the
pipelines. So based on this, we can list them as ongoing and forthcoming activities.
Ongoing Activities
- Athletic Training - We train students for free from rural areas who are underprivileged. We provide them food, transport expenses for their daily training. We provide sportswear and sponsor them for different competitions.
- Sponsorship to the needy - (Essentials for the needy)
o We sponsored Subramani, who is underprivileged, for his food expenses, as he need to eat nutritious food to perform well in athletics
o We sponsored Sundaramoorthy for his Engineering studies, as he was underprivileged and without father
o We bought spectacles for D.Thangam, an old lady working as a sweeper in a college
o We bought carom and chess board for children in Aruljyothi orphanage
o We sponsor Anusty for B.Sc Computer Science as she comes from a poor family
o We sponsored Chandran for his final semester fees of M.Sc Microbiology due to his poor economic status.
o We sponsor four children from Jeevitha Anathashrama for their education in an English convent
- Our two cents (Essentials for the needy)
o We distributed stationeries and books for the tsunami affected children at Pillaichavady
o We conducted a fun-filled session to cheer the children who are affected by Tsunami to refresh them.
o We conducted a fun-filled session to show our love and care to 30 orphaned children at Jeevitha Anathashrama, Bangalore
- Have fun with English (Joyful Learning)
We conduct free regular English classes at Pillaichavady for students from 6th Std to 9th Std. - Library (Joyful Learning)
We have a reading Library at Pillaichavady to cater to children of 8yrs to 16 yrs. There are reference books on Maths, Science, and Computers as well as books on moral stories and comics.
- Joyful Learning - General On Sundays, we conduct fun-filled sessions such as drawing classes, some volunteer giving a session on any interesting topic.
- Joyful Learning – Computers We conduct Computer classes at Pillaichavady thrice a week for the rural childen at Pillaichavady
- Joyful Learning - Handicrafts We conduct Handicraft classes on the weekend at Pillaichavady to nurture the craft skills of the children.
Done
- Career Counselling (Counselling)
We conducted career counselling for free in Abhishegapakkam Govt school for 116 students. We intend to conduct the same for more schools and students. - In Search of Ramanujan (Talent Training)
We conducted free Maths classes to coach them for AMTI exams from 2005-06. For this we selected students from all government schools and conducted classes by eminent professors.
